Stephen Joseph Studio; German Protestant Church, Greenheys

The Stephen Joseph Studio , also known as Protestant German church Greenheys ( German Protestant Church, Greenheys ), part of the University of Manchester . The church is located in the old borough of Greenheys , England and was located on Wright Street, a street that has not existed since around 1955.

The church from 1895 was established, probably in 1853. In Manchester directory ( Manchester Directory ) is for 1858 mentions the pastor of the Church HE Marotsky was. (The church should not be with the German Church ( German Church confuse) in the John Dalton Street, which was built by Joseph Steinthal in 1854). For the first time the church in 1949 was taken from the University of fog and was first used on several occasions before it was ultimately used by the Drama Department.

The main entrance of the neo-Gothic building is on the west side. The building has a side entrance on the north side. There is a rose window on the east side . The building has seven lecture rooms that can accommodate up to 179 students.

The building is now named after Stephen Joseph , the pioneer of the Theater in the Round . The Mansfield Cooper Building has stood on the south-west side of the church since the late 1970s .
