Steve Robertson (born July 4, 1964 in Hackney , England ) is an English manager in motorsport and has been a racing driver in various championships. In 1994 he won the Indy Lights racing series .

Robertson was a racing driver in the British Formula 3 series for three years , and in 1990 he finished third in the championship. In the 1993 season he started in the International Formula 3000 , but could not drive into the points. In 1994 he won the Indy Lights Championship and was the first to cross the finish line in seven races in the two years in which he competed. Besides David Empringham , he remained the only champion of this championship who did not compete in the Champ Car races.

In 1996 he entered the British Touring Car Championship in a Ford Mondeo factory car, but the car was not up to the demands and so Robertson was unsuccessful in this series. In the first race of this racing season at Donington Park , he spun on the track in such a way that his teammate Paul Radisich could no longer avoid a collision.

After his active career, he started managing young drivers with his father Dave Robertson († 2014). Jenson Button was able to lead them into Formula 1 and then took over the management of the young Kimi Räikkönen . He first started in the UK in Formula Renault and then rose to a Formula 1 cockpit for the Sauber team the following year .

In November 2004, Steve Robertson and the Finnish racing driver founded their own team in British Formula 3 , Räikkönen-Robertson-Racing , RRR for short, or double racing . In the second season, in 2006, the RRR team with British driver Mike Conway won this championship.
