The Sticht Range is a mountain range in the west of the Australian state of Tasmania . The mountain range is located south of Lake Murchison and west of Lake Plimsoll and runs, unlike the West Coast Range to the south , in an east-west direction.
It was named after Robert Carl Sticht (1856-1922), a manager of the Mount Lyell Mining and Railway Company .
