The Business Information Systems School Switzerland WISS is the leading institute for vocational training in the ICT sector. Since 1982 they have been offering training and further education in the fields of computer science, business and organization, both in vocational training and at the level of a specialist certificate or diploma .
The WISS was created in 1982 from an impulse program of the Swiss Confederation and by 2011 had trained over 18,000 IT specialists, both in vocational training and at the level of a certificate or diploma .
Since July 1, 2002, the "WISS Foundation" has been the sponsor of the training institute. The foundation belongs to the Kalaidos Education Group Switzerland and teaches at three locations (Bern, St. Gallen and Zurich).
