history

The newspaper appeared for the first time on March 2, 2006 with a circulation of 195,000 copies as the first publication by the high-pressure publishing house. The circulation was increased in three steps by a total of 33% within 18 months: on June 6, 2006 to 210,000, on August 31, 2006 to 230,000 and on September 20, 2007 to 260,000 copies. On June 14, 2007, Stil & Stadt was considered the highest-circulation newspaper in Hamburg thanks to a cooperation for the 180th anniversary of the Hamburger Sparkasse with a one-time total circulation of 410,000 copies. The last edition published is the edition 09-2008. The magazine was then stopped. The homepage was taken offline a few weeks after filing for bankruptcy.

Presentation

The newspaper, distributed biweekly with a length of 32 pages, had a circulation of 260,000 copies in the end. It was distributed by mail in the most affluent areas of Hamburg and in the Hamburg area; Through a targeted selection of the households supplied, the purchasing power of the Stil & Stadt readers exceeded the national average in some districts by up to 60%.

In terms of editorial content, cultural topics such as concerts, theater, exhibitions or readings were dealt with in the newspaper, further focal points were restaurant and recipe tips, fashion trends and living and other design-oriented topics. The social events were covered with portraits and interviews.
