The Stokke AS is a Norwegian manufacturer of prams and children's furniture based in Ålesund . The company, which was founded in 1932, is now Norway's second largest furniture manufacturer and, with 189 employees, achieved sales of around 622.5 million Norwegian kroner (approx. 76.1 million euros) in 2007.

Stokke is internationally known for innovative design in children's furniture. Particularly well known the company for 1972 put on the market highchair Tripp Trapp (of Peter Opsvik devised), which was sold by the end of 2007 more than 6 million times. Stokke sells its products in over 50 countries. Over the years, Stokke has manufactured and designed a wide variety of furniture, paying particular attention to ergonomics, uniqueness and functionality. Since 2006, Stokke has exclusively produced children's furniture and equipment for toddlers such as high chairs, children's rooms, carrier systems and prams in the premium segment. The other chairs previously sold under the Stokke name have since been marketed under the Variér brand .

In 2003 the Xplory stroller from Stokke received the Award for Design Excellence from Norsk Designråd .

Since it was founded, the company was owned and managed by the Stokke family for 3 generations until the beginning of 2014. Today the company belongs to the Belgian-based investment company NXMH, which is wholly owned by the South Korean company NXC. NXC is the largest shareholder in NEXON Corporation.
