The Stoll Giroflex AG is a Swiss manufacturer of seating . The company, headquartered in Koblenz, is represented internationally with branches, sales partners and licensees. The plastics factory Espisa AG, Koblenz, also belongs to the Giroflex Group.

history

In 1872 Albert Stoll I. founded a chair factory in Koblenz with a focus on bentwood chairs for cafes, hotels and shops. His son, Albert Stoll ll., From 1919 on, concentrated on the development and manufacture of office chairs. In 1926 he invented the worldwide patented “spring swivel”, the first swivel chair with a suspension. The brand name «Giroflex» (turn and yield), introduced in 1948, goes back to this invention. From 1949 Giroflex expanded abroad. After Belgium and Brazil, further branches followed in Germany, Holland and France. In 1992 the company brought the first, almost 100 percent recyclable chair series onto the market with giroflex 32/33. The production facility and the center for research and development are still in Koblenz today.

Products

Giroflex manufactures swivel chairs, conference chairs, visitor chairs, stools, seating groups and special chairs for office, industrial and residential use.
