Stonethrow Ridge (English for stone throw ridge , in Argentina Monte Beazley ) is a mountain ridge up to 325 m high with north-south orientation on Deception Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises west of Primero de Mayo Bay .
Scientists from the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey who measured it in January 1954 named it after the large number of rocks and stones at its base.
