Storcken

Storcken is a mountain range in Eitorf . It lies between the Nutscheid and the Sieg above Bourauel in the Bergisches Land Nature Park .

Storcken lies between the valleys of the Schmelzbach and Mengbach. In earlier times there were small settlements here: Forsthaus Storch, the Uhlersharth farm and, to the north, possibly a Brölerhof . This designation still exists as a field name and adjacent field names indicate that there were ponds here.

The wooded ridge is now uninhabited. The privately owned Storcker Hütte refers to its name and offers a beautiful view of the Siegtal valley.
