Flow nozzle

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A flow nozzle is a built-in part that is built into the jacket inlet nozzle of containers with a jacket (e.g. enamelled double jacket containers of stirred kettles in accordance with DIN 28136). Flow nozzles ensure the acceleration and deflection of the introduced liquid flow. Due to the effect of the nozzle, the contents of the jacket are set in rotation. This rotational flow should have an average speed of approx. 1 m / s in order to ensure good heat transfer and a high K value between the service medium and the container wall.
