Street collection

A street collection is a collection of donations in public places and streets e.g. B. with a donation can . A similar collection at the front door is a house collection or doorstep collection called.

Germany

In Germany, street and house collections are permitted in 14 federal states without a collection permit. There are only regulations in Saarland and Thuringia.

Baden-Württemberg

In Baden-Württemberg the Collections Act (SammlungsG) existed as the legal basis for street and house collections. According to this, permission is to be granted if the collection does not violate law or order , the collection and use of the donations are carried out properly, the costs of the collection are not clearly disproportionate to the net income of the collection and it is guaranteed that at least a quarter of the sales price remains for charitable or charitable purposes. In the case of simultaneous collections, the permit can be refused if the simultaneous execution of several collections in the same area could lead to public nuisance.

The Collections Act in the version of March 19, 1996 was repealed by the Act of November 13, 2012 with effect from January 1, 2013.

Saarland

In Saarland there is the Saarland Collection Act (SaarlSammlG) Act No. 868. The regulations on collection permits correspond to those in Baden-Württemberg.

Thuringia

The Thuringian Collection Act (ThürSammlG) also contains comparable regulations.

Austria

In Austria , too , street collections are regulated by state law.

Tyrol

In principle, street and house collections may only be carried out with a collection permit, which must be applied for two months in advance. But excluding collections of religious communities , including poor box -Sammlungen, collections that are held by the federal government from the country or from one community and collections within closed groups.

A collection permit is to be granted if the collection result is intended for charitable or benevolent purposes, the proper execution of the collection and the intended use of the collection result is guaranteed and considerations of the reputation of the country, tourism or the productivity of the population do not conflict with the collection and the remuneration of the persons carrying out the collection is in reasonable proportion to the expected result of the collection.
