The Law on the Execution of Sentences and Safety Measures ( Turkish: Ceza ve Güvenlik Tedbirlerin İnfazı Hakkında Kanun ) regulates the judicial system in Turkey .

The law was passed on December 13, 2004 and came into force on June 1, 2005. The previous Prison Act No. 647 of July 13, 1965 was thus repealed. According to Art. 3, the aim of the execution of a sentence is to "improve the offender for the protection of society".

A fundamental addition is the Ordinance on the Administration of Prisons and the Execution of Penalties and Safety Measures , which came into force on April 6, 2006.
