The Strandcafe is the name of a restaurant that is operated in a house that is protected as a monument . It is located in the Wuppertal district of Cronenberg in the district of Kohlfurtherbrücke .

The property, Kohlfurther Brücke 56, is a half-timbered house complex, the oldest part of which, the two-story half-timbered house to the north, dates from the first quarter of the 19th century. It is provided with a gable roof and has a slated facade on the northern side. The building was subsequently extended to the south with two-story half-timbered buildings and each provided with pitched, flat and pent roofs. Directly at the Kohlfurther bridge , it was expanded to a hotel at that time.

The Strandcafe in the northern part of the building, with the current owner and since 1987 with its beer garden on the banks of the Wupper, has been a popular excursion destination. It is in the tradition of the beer garden, which existed here more than a hundred years ago and is now popular with motorized two-wheelers throughout the entire Bergisches Land region .
