Stroke Angel

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Stroke Angel is a telemedical project in which, with the help of an emergency doctor information system, data from stroke patients from the rescue service is transmitted in advance to the target clinic with a stroke unit . With the advance information, the processes for the handover and further care of the patients in the clinic can be optimized. The concept is currently being transferred to other clinical pictures (Cardio Angel, Trauma Angel).

The project, which in this form for the first time demonstrated a direct patient benefit of pervasive computing in emergency medicine , was awarded the Golden Helix Award in 2008 .
