from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Struensee is a family originally from the Mark Brandenburg region (first mentioned in 1477 in Neuruppin). The family initially worked in the textile industry. Branches that provided Protestant clergymen and Prussian officials later split off. Various representatives of these branches were ennobled mainly in Prussia in the 18th and 19th centuries .
