The Stwosz Icefall ( Polish : Lodospad Wita Stwosza ) is a glacier break on the south coast of King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It flows from the Krakow Peninsula into the head end of Legru Bay .
Participants in a Polish Antarctic expedition named him in 1980 after the sculptor Wit Stwosz ( Veit Stoss , ≈1447–1533), whose works include the Kraków high altar .
