The Krakow Peninsula is a peninsula on the south coast of King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It separates Admiralty Bay from King George Bay .
Scientists on a Polish Antarctic expedition named the almost entirely ice-covered peninsula as Kopuła Krakowa (Polish for Krakow dome ) after the former Polish capital Krakow . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee changed this name into English in 1984 as Kraków Peninsula .
