The King George Bay , a 10 km long bay on the south coast of King George Iceland in the group of the South Shetland Islands . It lies between the Lions Rump and Turret Point .
The British navigator Edward Bransfield named the bay on January 24, 1820 during his Antarctic voyage after the British monarch George III. (1738–1820), who died just five days later.
