Sub-bass recorder

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The sub-bass recorder is a recorder with the range C − d 1 (g 1 )

It is produced in a kinked and square design. Thanks to this special and legally protected design, the instrument can be played with a very short blowing pipe.

The sub-bass recorder was developed by Herbert Paetzold in Ebenhofen. Today this size recorder is manufactured and sold by the Kunath Instrumentenbau workshop under the brand name “Paetzold by Kunath”.
