history

The company was founded in 1918 by Ewald Schawe (born March 3, 1889 in Groß Garz ; † February 8, 1960 in Cologne) in Cologne-Mülheim . In 1918 the first West German construction newspaper appeared . Other publications were the Rhine. Westf. Bauzeitung , the Baurat (1928), the West German Building Certificate (1948) and the Daily Submission Compass (1958).

In 1960, Schawe's wife and daughters took over the publishing house. Edda Peters has been running the business since 1986. In 1988 he moved to Cologne-Kalk . 1989 the subreport Verlag Schawe GmbH was founded . 1997 began the first appearance on the Internet at www.subreport.de. subreport has been publishing tenders since 2001 using the electronic procurement information system ELViS , which was the first e-procurement system to be developed nationwide. The number of published tenders on the Internet in 2008 was more than 150,000. subreport is the company with the longest experience in the field of electronic tendering and is considered the market leader as the largest tendering service in Germany .

Awards

The company has received several awards. In 2008 the publishing house received the Top 100 seal of approval from the former Prime Minister Lothar Späth . Further awards were the second place in the 2007 Website Awards NRW and the winner of the Diversity Wins competition in 2009 by the City of Cologne for the publisher's commitment to promoting the compatibility of child and work through professional childcare by educators.
