sui generis is a legal open access - journal in Switzerland.

The magazine was founded in 2014 by Daniel Hürlimann, assistant professor at the University of St. Gallen . His intention was to establish the "open access" concept in Swiss law.

sui generis publishes scientific articles from all areas of law and appears exclusively on the Internet. The contributions are subject to the “Attribution - Distribution under the same conditions 4.0” license from Creative Commons .

The journal has an editorial team and a peer review board made up of Swiss lawyers from universities, courts and lawyers. It is financially supported by the university libraries in Zurich, Bern, Lucerne and Basel.
