Health notice This article is about suicide. For those at risk, there is a wide network of offers of help in which ways out are shown. In acute emergencies, the telephone counseling and the European emergency number 112 can be reached continuously and free of charge. After an initial crisis intervention , qualified referrals can be made to suitable counseling centers on request.

A suicide pact , also anti-suicide contract or non-suicide contract or contract, is a jointly made agreement between a patient and his or her therapist that the patient will not attempt suicide until the next agreed appointment or that the patient will not attempt suicide immediately in case of need turns to the therapist or other strategies for self-rescue that are stipulated in the contract.

In contrast to this definition, which is common in medical jargon, the press occasionally also writes about a suicide pact or suicide pact when two people agree to commit suicide together.
