Sumodrivers Discgolf Weng

The Sumodrivers Discgolf Weng (short: Sumodrivers ) are one of the most successful Discgolf teams in Austria. The association was founded in February 2011 and currently consists of more than 40 members. This makes it the largest disc golf club in Austria.

history

The association was founded in Weng im Innkreis . In the first season the club was able to convince at national level and celebrate impressive results. In individual tournaments this included a win and a second place for David Wojak and two fourth places for Harald Neumayr. Also in the Austrian Club Championship (ACC), the highest Austrian league, they finished third in the final table right from the start. The 2012 season was similarly successful: With fifth place in the final table of the ACC, the team lost some ground to the top, but top player Stefan Bachleitner won two of the most important individual tournaments of the season.

Youth work

The sumodrivers are particularly successful in the junior class. Since the club was founded, junior players have won all tournaments in the Juniors Division in which they competed, 40 in a row. Young player Simon Ceh won 26 of them alone.

Members

The club currently has more than 40 members, 17 of them from the top divisions.
