Supercar

Supercar ( Japanese ス ー パ ー カ ー ) is a Japanese rock band founded in 1995 by Kōji Nakamura, Miki Furukawa, Junji Ishiwatari and Kōdai Tazawa, which disbanded in 2005. Their trademark was rock mixed with electronic music and pop . They became known through the soundtracks to the Japanese film Ping Pong and the anime series Eureka Seven .

biography

The band was formed after bassist Miki Furukawa searched a local newspaper for musicians for a band. In 1998 they released their debut album Three Out Change !! , Followed in 1999 by the album Jump Up . In 1999 they also released the two albums Ooyeah !! and ookeah !! In 2000 they experimented a lot in the electronic field with the album Futurama , which they continued with the 2002 album Highvision . The last album Answer was released in 2004. It is considered to be the band's most adventurous album.

In 2005 they gave their final concert, which can be seen on the DVD Last Life .
