Superorganism is an eight-member indie pop group from London , England , founded in early 2017.

Band history

The band members come from various English-speaking countries, such as the United Kingdom , the United States or Australia, and got to know each other in various music forums and through friends. Emily, Harry, Tucan and Robert Strange were previously active in the New Zealand band The Eversons , named after Blair Everson, who has been known since his work at Superorganism under the pseudonym Robert Strange . During a tour of Japan, the four band members met the American student Orono Noguchi, who was on vacation at home at the time, and became friends with her. At the beginning of 2017, Noguchi joined the group and the first demo single Something for Your MIND was recorded. This track later became famous as the soundtrack of the video game FIFA 18. In June of the same year she moved from Maine to London , where all the band members already lived. Since then, seven of the eight members have lived in a house in the East End , which is also where their studio is located. Only the South Korean background singer Soul currently lives in Sydney .

At the beginning of March 2018, Superorganism released their first album of the same name , which was largely received positively by critics. In February 2019, Superorganism contributed a single, Hello Me & You, to the soundtrack of The LEGO Movie 2 .
