Supersize

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Supersize or super size refers to a very large portion of fast food from the market leader McDonald’s in the USA that is no longer available . One serving was about 1500 kcal . In 2004 the variant was removed from the range to simplify the menu. Other providers have their own names for extra large menus.

The documentary Super Size Me is named after this sales variant.

If the pricing encourages the customer to order the larger quantity for a small additional charge, this is called upselling .
