Superstructure

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The quay (quay) is part of the infrastructure of a port , the cranes are part of the superstructure

The foreign word superstructure denotes - as the opposite of infrastructure - superstructures such as B. all types of buildings (warehouses, office and residential buildings, etc.) as well as all types of technical equipment (cranes, ramps, etc.) above the quay edge.

The surface area on the quay , railway tracks and access roads as well as the wharf itself and the harbor basin in front of it are a part of the port infrastructure and the land owners of the property created.

The quay cranes and the industrial trucks are movable and therefore not real estate. So they are part of the port's superstructure.
