The Supreme Court of Georgia is the supreme court of the US state of Georgia .

The Georgia Supreme Court is the highest judicial authority in the US state of Georgia. The court was founded in 1845 as a three-person body. Since 1896, the number of judges increased to six, then seven in 1945, and finally nine in 2017, elected by the people of Georgia. Judges are currently elected in state-wide, bipartisan elections for a six-year term, with any vacant positions being filled by an appointment from the Georgia governor. Under the current Georgian constitution, the chief judge is elected by the judges.
