Surma is a monster from Finnish mythology . It embodies death and guards the boundaries of the Tuonela underworld . Surma must see to it that no living person enters the realm of the dead and no dead person comes out of the realm of the dead. It feeds on human blood and guards the home of Kalma , tearing up anyone who gets too close to the house.
