from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) Surveyor 600 is a high-speed reconnaissance drone. It is being built by EADS and is currently still under development. It is considered to be a possible successor to the CL 289 drone , which is currently used by the German Army for high-speed reconnaissance.

The aircraft can perform different missions depending on the payload. The following payloads are possible:

The main task of the drone is tactical reconnaissance and the detection of targets and information. With the appropriate payload, it can also be used for electronic warfare . Due to the high speed and stealth technology as well as electronic countermeasures, the drone can also be used under hostile conditions.

With the help of a booster, the drone can quickly reach its area of operation, then circle over the area using the jet drive and then quickly get to the recovery zone again with the rocket drive.

The UAV is launched using a catapult.
