Susan Jebb

Susan Ann Jebb OBE , née Parkinson, (born August 29, 1964 in Bolton / UK) is a British nutritionist and political advisor.

Live and act

Jebb graduated from Surrey University .

She is an advisor to the UK government.

In June 1990 Jebb married in Ellesmere, Shropshire; In 2001 she gave birth to a son in Cambridge.

Research priorities

Her research and advice is focused on the UK obesity problem . Temporarily she headed the Department of Nutrition and Health Research at MRC Human Nutrition Research in Cambridge and the Nutrition Network at the Department of Health 's Public Health Responsibility Deal in Oxford. In 2008 she was awarded the title of OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) for her services to public health.
