Susann Rüthrich (born July 21, 1977 in Meißen ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the German Bundestag .

Life

After graduating from high school in Coswig , Rüthrich studied at the TU Dresden . She obtained a master’s degree while working at the Fernuniversität Hagen . Rüthrich became a member of the SPD and is a member of the state executive committee of the SPD Saxony and chairwoman of the SPD sub-district of Meissen.

Rüthrich lives in Klipphausen and has three children.

She was the SPD candidate for the mandate in the Bundestag constituency of Meißen in the 2013 Bundestag election and moved into the 18th Bundestag via position 6 on the SPD state list of Saxony . She is a member of the Committee for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth and a deputy member of the Committee for Labor and Social Affairs . Since February 11, 2014, she has been the child commissioner of the SPD parliamentary group and a member of the SPD in the children's commission of the German Bundestag. Since June 2014 she has been the spokesperson for the cross-sectional working group “Strategies against Right-Wing Extremism” of the SPD parliamentary group. It has citizens' offices in Meißen, Dresden- Pieschen and Pirna.
