Susanne Giesa

Susanne Giesa (* in Dessau ) is a German pianist and music teacher.

She received her first music lessons at the age of five. From 1989 to 1996 she completed piano studies (with a second major in singing) at the University of Music and Theater in Leipzig . She perfected her skills in various master courses for song pianists with Elisabeth Schwarzkopf , Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and others. She completed an artistic postgraduate course in chamber music and song design in Leipzig with distinction. This was followed by teaching assignments at the same institute.

In 1993 she received the special prize for song accompaniment at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Competition , which is awarded by the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation . Since 1997 she has been with the Dresden Kreuzchor and at the TU Dresden .
