Susanne Spahn

Susanne Spahn is a contemporary German journalist, political scientist and Eastern European historian.

biography

Susanne Spahn studied Eastern European History , Slavic Studies and Political Science at the Universities of St. Petersburg and Cologne and was awarded a thesis at the University of Cologne in 2010 with her thesis “State independence - the end of the East Slavic community? The foreign policy of Russia towards Ukraine and Belarus since 1991 ”. PhD. According to the Eastern Europe magazine published by the Eastern European Reporting Network , she was trained at the Süddeutsche Zeitung .

She is one of the signatories of the countercall to the appeal for a different Russia policy . She raised serious allegations against “Putin's advocates” in the German media. According to her, the reporting of the Russian state media on the Ukraine war is dominated by "misrepresentations and misrepresentation of history".

According to her short biography at the Friedrich Naumann Foundation , she has been cooperating with the Institute for Strategic Dialogue and the London School of Economics and Political Science since June 2017 .
