Susanne Wilbers-Rost

Susanne Wilbers-Rost (* 1958 ) is a German archaeologist .

She studied prehistory and early history , paleoethnobotany and ethnology at the University of Göttingen . In 1990 she was there with a thesis on horse harnesses from the Roman Empire in Germania libera. Doctorate on the origin, development and spread of the "bridle with reins" . Wilbers-Rost heads the archaeological department of the Varus Battle in Osnabrücker Land GmbH - Museum and Park Kalkriese . She is married to the archaeologist Achim Rost.
