Dismissal

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The dismissal or suspension under civil service law is a disciplinary measure taken by the employer of a civil servant in Germany . It includes the temporary suspension of service and can be combined with partial withholding of the salary . For federal civil servants, it is governed by the federal disciplinary law and for state civil servants by the corresponding state disciplinary laws.

The suspension is issued by the highest service authority of a civil servant when or after the initiation of disciplinary proceedings if there is suspicion of a very serious breach of service which, after assessment of the circumstances, is likely to lead to a termination of the civil servant's relationship .
