Suzan Şekerci
Suzan Şekerci (* 1976 in Marburg an der Lahn ) is a Turkish journalist and filmmaker.
Born and raised in Germany, the Turkish woman completed a degree in economics at the University of Kassel . Later she learned to be a media designer for image and sound at the Academy for Advertising, Graphics and Printing in Hamburg. Since 2005 she has worked as a lecturer in the field of script implementation, camera and direction. The journalist, who is a member of the final editorial team of Stern , shot a number of her own short films and documentaries and took on various other activities in the film industry. In 2009 she received the Eberhard Fechner grant from VG Bild-Kunst for writing and directing her feature-length documentary Djangos Erben (2008) about descendants of Django Reinhardt , which is awarded annually at the Adolf Grimme Prize .
