Svatopluk Čech (saxophonist)
Svatopluk Čech (born June 11, 1946 ) is a Czech clarinetist, saxophonist and arranger.
Čech was a member of several jazz bands, including the České dechové trio , the České dechové sexteto and the Baroque Jazz Quintet . From 1972 to 1981 he directed the Svatopluka Čecha orchestra . In 1983 Panton released his PS album "I'm In The Mood For Sax" . He can also be heard as a soloist on the album Poste Restante by Milan Svoboda with the Pražský Big Band . In 1999 he became artistic director of the West Bohemiam Big Band . He also taught at the Vienna Conservatory .
