Sven Maresch
Sven Maresch (born January 19, 1987 in Erfurt ) is a German judoka who competes in the weight class up to 81 kg.
Maresch won in 2006 at the German U20 championships and six months later at the U20 European championships. In 2008 he won the silver medal at the U23 European Championships, in 2009 he won the title. In 2009, 2011 and 2014 he won the German championships in the adult class. In 2010 Maresch won the World Cup in Rome and the Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi. In 2011 he and the team received the bronze medal at the European Championships . In 2013 and 2014 Maresch won team bronze at the European championships and at the world championships. His best individual result was the bronze medal at the 2014 European Championships . In 2015 Sven Maresch took fifth place at the European Games in Baku and seventh place at the World Championships in Astana . At the 2016 Olympic Games , Maresch retired in the first round.
