Swedish Institute for Standards

The Swedish Institute for Standards (SIS), Svenska institutet för standarder in Swedish , is one of three Swedish standardization bodies. It is a member of the international standardization organizations ISO and CEN and acts on behalf of the Swedish Standardization Council ( Sveriges standardiseringsråd , SSR).

The institute is a non-profit association. In 2015 it had around 1,700 members (companies and organizations) and had a turnover of around 262 million SEK (~ 27 million euros). It has two subsidiaries, SIS Förlag AB , which publishes and sells information on standards, and SIS Forum AB , which provides training and advice in the field of standardization.
