Swiss Internet User Group

The Swiss Internet User Group (SIUG) is a Swiss association founded in 1999 that advocates responsible and constructive use of the Internet as a medium . The aim of the association is to keep the level of all Internet-related services as high as possible.

The SIUG pursues its goals primarily through press releases, interviews, through statements on consultations on planned changes in the law, through events and public mailing lists. The most famous events co-organized by SIUG include the Swiss Big Brother Awards , which it has presented annually since 2000 together with other organizations. The SIUG also helps with the organization of the annual events “Spring Monitoring” and “9/11”.

SIUG is a member of Wilhelm Tux , eCH, European Digital Rights and the Global Internet Liberty Campaign.
