The Swissphone Quattro or Quattro is a radio message receiver from the manufacturer Swissphone . It is used to alert or notify people or groups of people via a radio network. The device is mainly used by the authorities and organizations with security tasks (BOS). The device is portable and can also be worn on a belt thanks to its clip on the back.

technical description

The standard version of the Quattro works in the 4-meter band . The receivers must be set and aligned for the respective radio channel . The alarm occurs in the same way via a 5-tone sequence , to which the device must be specifically coded. The coding of the tone sequence (s) takes place via an integrated circuit (IC) . If one of the programmed 5-tone sequences is received, a previously programmed signal will sound. At the same time the LED flashes and the detector vibrates. This can vary depending on the recognized 5-tone sequence and can be programmed individually. Then the receiver is opened and the radio communication is audible. If no signal is received for a certain period of time, the alarm receiver goes into "Call reminder" mode. A cyclical signal tone sounds. The radio traffic is audible. The times are programmable.

Functions

To switch on the device, both buttons must be pressed simultaneously for a short moment. The volume for listening in on the radio message is adjustable. Optionally you can set the message receiver to silent or "mini beep". There is also a listening function that can be locked or released in the programming. A relay or an alarm whistle can be controlled via the 5-pin Din socket on the charger (LGRA).
