In 1983, the company founded Swissphone Telecommunications GmbH, based in Gundelfingen , Germany, as its first subsidiary . With around 40 employees, it primarily operates the marketing and support of the parent company's product range.
The main buyers of the products are authorities and organizations with security tasks (BOS), financial service providers , industrial, health and pharmaceutical companies .
In Switzerland the company operates as an operator and service provider for a radio paging network . Swissphone manufactures radio alarm receivers such as the Quattro , Patron pro , Memo , Hurricane , BOSS and s.QUAD series .
From 2004 to 2016, Swissphone took over the activities of Wesser Informatik GmbH in Leinfelden-Echterdingen and during this time offered the secur.CAD operations control system . The subsidiary was sold to the IDS Group in 2016 .
