action

A bomber places a series of bombs in Seattle . These are always located in parts of the building that are difficult to access, so that robots cannot be used to defuse them. While attempting to defuse the bomb, some bomb experts die because the perpetrator lures them on the wrong track with sophisticated ignition mechanisms and multiple triggers. The responsible Sgt. Kathleen Hardy and Colonel Forsyth from the special unit are overwhelmed. Therefore, the former head of the unit, John Pierce, who is now retired, is brought in to help.

Pierce discovers from the knot technique used that the perpetrator must have been trained in the Navy . Since the examination of the lists of those trained there did not reveal a suitably talented bomb expert, Pierce is at times suspected of being the perpetrator himself. He can only divert suspicion from himself when he expands the search to include the US Navy explosives instructors.

With the help of Sgt. Kathleen Hardy, he succeeds in convicting Colonel Forsyth as a perpetrator and securing an extensive stock of explosive equipment in his basement.

Finally, with her help, he manages to defuse the human bomb that Colonel Forsyth designed to emerge from Pierce's shadow and to set a monument for himself.

Reviews

The camerawork and music would make the film one of the more sophisticated low budget films. Sam Elliott seems "uninterested" .
  • The Action Lexicon writes that the plot is "a bit lengthy" , the film is "too long by 20 minutes" .
  • Prisma praises the special effects and the actors.
