Syleus ( Greek  Συλεύς , also Συλέως) was a son of Poseidon and a tyrant in Aulis.

He forced all strangers who passed through his area to work in his vineyards, after which he subsequently killed them. Only Heracles put an end to the hustle and bustle when he dug up the vineyards and roots and killed Syleus and his daughter Xenodoke .
