The synagogue in Delft , a Dutch city ​​in the province of South Holland , was built in 1861/62. The synagogue at Koornmarkt 12 is a protected architectural monument .

history

In 1821 a Jewish community was founded in Delft , which never more than 200 people. In 1840 a Jewish school and a Jewish cemetery were established .

The synagogue, built in neoclassical style, was inaugurated in 1862 . The synagogue has been preserved despite the destruction during the Second World War . It has been renovated and is available for religious and cultural events.
