The synagogue in Jurbarkas ( Georgenburg ), a rajong community in southwest Lithuania , was built around 1790. The synagogue was built of wood in the style of the region.

After the German occupation in the summer of 1941, the Jewish population was killed by the occupiers and Lithuanian nationalists or used for forced labor. Before they were murdered, the Jews had been forced to tear down their synagogue.
