Sm'Aesch Pfeffingen is in Aesch and Pfeffingen beheimateter volleyball - club , which was founded on 27 January 2000 by the merger of the clubs VBC VBC Aesch and Pfeffingen. With a women's team that has been playing in the top division in Switzerland, the National League A, since 2004/05, the Sm'Aesch Pfeffingen volleyball club has been the volleyball flagship of an entire region for many years. The club's greatest successes include four vice Swiss championship titles, two second places in the Swiss cup competition and participation in four European club competitions. In addition, players from Sm'Aesch Pfeffingen are regularly on duty for the Swiss national volleyball team.

More teams

With 18 active teams, Sm'Aesch Pfeffingen is one of the largest volleyball clubs in the Basel region. The second women's team with many young talents plays in the national first division. The other seven women's teams are in action in various regional leagues. In the youth sector, the club is active in both popular and competitive sports. The Sm'Aesch Pfeffingen junior academy was founded in 2011, with the aim of providing optimal conditions for competitive volleyball.
