Swiss Volley (SV) is the umbrella organization for volleyball in Switzerland. It was founded on February 22, 1958 as the Swiss Volleyball Association (SVBV) in Friborg in Üechtland .

The tasks include looking after the Swiss national teams for women and men .

Swiss Volley is a member of the International Volleyball Association (FIVB) and the European Volleyball Association (CEV).

history

The Swiss Volleyball Association (SVBV) was completely restructured in 2002 after several financial crises according to tabula rasa . The current name Swiss Volley (SV) was also adopted in order to illustrate the new direction to the outside world. As part of the realignment, the association's headquarters were relocated from Stans (NW) to Bern .

Swiss Volley organizes the three highest divisions in the Swiss volleyball championship (National League A, National League B and 1st League) as well as the Swiss Cup and the Supercup. The Swiss volleyball champions are determined in the NLA . There is also the Indoor Sports Supercup .

Swiss Volley organizes the Coop Beach Tour in beach volleyball as a tournament series. At the end there is the Swiss beach volleyball championship .
