The Swiss Rowing Association ( SRV ) is the umbrella organization for rowing clubs, regional rowing associations and regatta organizers in Switzerland .

The association was founded on December 5, 1886 in Sarnen , Canton Obwalden and is still based there today. It is multilingual and also bears the names Fédération Suisse des Sociétés d'Aviron ( FSSA , French), Federazione Svizzera della Società di Canottaggio ( FSSC , Italian) and Swiss Rowing Federation ( SRF , English). The association languages ​​are German and French.

Legally, the federation is an association under the civil code of Switzerland. It is a member of the World Rowing Federation (FISA) based in Lausanne and the Swiss NOK Swiss Olympic Association . Stéphane Trachsler has been President since 2012.

The SRV runs the house of Swiss rowing at its headquarters in Sarnen .
